Hello! My name is Shawna Aubrey and I am the artist behind all the hand-made jewelry and original paintings found on this site. I’ve always been crafty and have been expressing myself through my artwork since I was a girl. In 2016 I decided to turn my passion for art into my livelihood and started Freya's Fire Custom Artwork.
My first projects were all created with found materials: fallen bamboo from the neighbor’s yard was made into wind chimes, copper wire from broken and discarded electronics cords was used to wire-wrap crystals and stones, and old clothes were repurposed to make fridge magnet flowers.
Maybe my love for recycling and repurposing was born from where my company started, or maybe those values informed what I decided to pursue as my career – either way, I live with my art and my values tightly intertwined. They interact with each other, inspire each other, and ultimately guide my journey as an artist.
As I have grown, experimented, and developed over time, my focus has, increasingly, been on wire-wrapping and canvas paintings. While my shop most consistently will be comprised of these types of pieces, don’t be surprised if you see other odds and ends for sale, as I will never lose my passion for recycling and breathing new life into old and forgotten things.

Our work truly is our passion and we love what we do. We work hard to share all of this with you and consider the battle won when our customers love what we create.

Freya’s Fire Custom Artwork started in 2016 as a one-woman operation. Building her business and reputation from the ground up, Shawna is the heart and soul of the company. In April 2018, Freya’s Fire became a two-woman operation with the addition of Kristen Hughes as a new business partner. Kristen brings a diverse career history with experience in several fields including finance, customer service, and marketing to the company and is excited to see what the future has in store for Freya’s Fire Custom Artwork!
